Repurposed & Refinished Piece of Furniture

As you may or may not remember, CH and I repair, refurbish and refinish furniture.  CH is the major talent and I am the helper.  I take care of the marketing and business end of things.  We find old pieces on the side of the road; we buy some at yard sales; and we get some from friends.  We have been doing this for almost two years as a supplement to our retirement income and have sold all but two pieces.  We sell in consignment shops, flea markets, Craigslist and direct sales.

It is such a rush when a piece is finished as we had planned.  It is even more of a rush when a piece sells - not just because of the money but because someone else appreciates what we have done.

I have posted pics of some of our makeovers and will be doing so again soon.  But in the meantime, I want to share a project from Apartment Therapy.  The pic below is the finished piece.. What do you think it started as?

  1. That is amazing! I would use it to display my pot towels. I am going to be looking for an old cot now. Thanks for the idea.

  2. Donna - is a cot a baby crib to you? Whatever - the idea is great even if one used an infant-sized crib.

Thanks for visiting, Daniela and Donna
