Make Life Easier Tips

Good morning!  It is a bit chilly here in sunny Florida but it is supposed to be in the mid 70's this afternoon.  This is my kind of weather!!  Having lived in Massachusetts for 50 years, I feel the pain of those in the rest of the country who are battling with sub zero temperatures.  Mother Nature is not being nice.

I awakened very early this morning because I thought there was a war going on outside my window.  It was the duck hunters shooting and for some unknown reason it was very loud.  They are not that close and the sound is usually muffled.  Scared the s--- out of me!

I have been working on a craft project for a get together blog on Monday.  I am determined to get it finished today.  I haven't done any crafty things in a long time so my creativity level is way down.  If it turns out o.k. I will post a pic and give a link to the blog (I can't remember the name of the blog right this minute.)  Then I am going to lunch with friend, Kathy.  I bought a ham yesterday that will give us at least four meals with extras for sandwiches and omelets.  I will put that in the oven later.

So I have been wandering around the internet and found a few useful ideas for making life a little easier.  Take a look.

Cut a shoe organizer in half and use it for bathroom stuff to have a clutterless counter. q tips, cotton balls, lotions, hair stuff, brushes, etc.   hobbit-house-h.blogspot.com  has the particulars

Towel that won't pull off the oven handle.  This is great - my towels always fall off.
Go to hotflashncraftn.blogspot.com for directions.

The best cookie courier is in your kitchen. Reuse empty cardboard boxes from rolls of foil & parchment paper, and voila!  I don't think you need directions but you can visit at

A Lazy Susan for the refrigerator!  Look at all the space it saves and how easy it is to see what is there!  Discovered at

I hope your weekend is full of good things.                  Meanwhile .....  keep it simple and make it real.       Jeanne

  2. Mother nature is not playing nice here in Australia at the moment either!

I started using a lazy susan in my fridge a while ago, works brilliantly!

    1. Is it still burning up down there? I would not be able to stand it - I have enough problems with Florida summers.

I know I have a lazy susan hidden away somewhere. I will dig it out tomorrow.
