Furniture Refurbishing in the Making

Good Morning!  I hope the weather is what you like wherever you are and you can enjoy the day without freezing or boiling.

We have been working on some furniture to be put up for sale.  I thought I would show the beginning process of the work so you can get an idea of what is involved.

Take a look .....

This is a two drawer chest that is upside down at the moment.  The legs laying on the top are from another table.  The legs and a shelf will be added to the chest to give it more storage possibilites and height.

This is the base of an old oak table that had been painted yellow.  We have acquired a square glass table top to use and the chairs shown below.

The chairs need just a small bit of sprucing up.  I think this will be a nice breakfast set for two that incorporates the old and the new.   Behind the chair is another piano bench.  That had to be repaired a bit with the legs and the top.

This is a nightstand that requires a lot of restoration.  Removing the finish was a lot of work because the piece is old.

Four chairs that have been greatly repaired and now primed.  They will be matched to the dismantled table in the background.  Yes, that is a wooden reindeer sitting there.  I don't know why.

That's the preview.  I know it looks like a complete mess now but the pieces should all become beautiful and useful again.

Meanwhile .....  keep it simple and make it real.

Jeanne
