"You Will Feel Better"

I don't often post about a blog that I read five minutes before but today it seems worthwhile.  That is not to say that I am going through any hard times right now but it is always good to know resources when times do get tough.

Anyhow, Sybil Chavis of "The Possibility of Today" posted about a method to make the difficult tasks in life become easier.  I will post just a portion of it and then you can click here to read the whole thing.

The Possibility of Today – Keeping Your Extraordinary Side In the Foreground As You Push Through

1. Make Sure You Have A Morning Relaxation Session. Every single morning, take at least 30 minutes and do something that relaxes you (yoga, meditation, reading, walking, etc.) and ensures your Extraordinary Side is in the foreground before you start the day.

2. Stop ‘Doing’ and Relax on An As Needed Basis. When you feel stressed or something goes “wrong”, stop whatever you’re doing and give yourself 30 minutes to relax. Call a friend, meditate, go on a walk, or do anything else that allows you to find your way back to your center.

3. Take At Least 2 Time In(s) Everyday. Time In(s) are just 5 minutes that you take to really connect to the feeling of your Extraordinary Side. You can do the same thing you did for your morning relaxation session or anything else that allows you to unwind and really feel your Extraordinary Side.

4. Take Deep Breaths Throughout the Entire Day. Every time you can remember, just stop for 1-2 seconds and take a deep conscious breath.

All of these seem pretty common sense but do we think to do them?  It is always good to be reminded.

Meanwhile .... keep it simple and make it real.
