Using the Turn Signal ...or not

I would like to welcome all new readers to the blog.  It is because of your stopping by that the blog will continue to grow.  Hopefully, you are finding things of interest that will make you want to return.

The above picture says it all for me!!!  I cannot stand it when drivers do not signal befor taking a turn!  What makes it worse is that CH ("current husband" for those who may have forgotten) is one of the biggest offenders in this case.  He will not put on the blinker until the last possible minute or not at all.  Horns blowing around us in the truck are common.  It seems that the more I say something about it the less he uses the signal.  I think that is referred to as passive/agressive.

Because I can be quite anal about somethings, I have done some research about the effects of not using a turn signal.  For instance, according to a newly released report from the Society of Automotive Engineers,  "Nearly half of all drivers either don't signal to change lanes or fail to turn the indicator off if they do.".   These failures have led to cause 2 million car accidents a year nationwide.  What more proof can the driving public need to wake them up?!?!?

I think that the drivers who fail to use turn signals are rude, selfish and stupid.  If it weren't for my fear of road rage I would be screaming obscenities out my car window all the time at these idiots.   Enough said?

I do feel better after venting my venom.  Thank you for listening.

Meanwhile .... keep it simple and make it real.

  1. Oh how I agree, drivers seem to think that you are mind readers and you know where they are going and what they are going to do. The other thing that drives me nuts is people who do not cancel the signal and tootle along with the blessed thing winking away.....

Thank you for your comment on my blog, both my OH and I read an awful lot hence the 8 books.
