DIY Car Safety, Comfort and Car Cleanliness for Dogs

A few years ago friends were involved in a horrible highway crash.  They survived without injury but their little dog was injured.  It was a tough recovery for Maggie but she pulled through.

Now, I have no idea if any of these hammocks or car seats would have made a difference in this crash but they may help
in times when you have to slam on the brakes, etc.  Also, helping to keep your pet comfortable and  your car clean are worthwhile perks.  Take a look.

DIY for Pets

There is a lot of diy activity going on but how much is focused on pets?  There are many ways to show creativity and simple living by making things that are useful for pets.  Throw in some comfort and the four-legged family members are happy and content.  Take a look.


First is a cat bed made from a sweater.  I found this on www.pets-n-people.info but there is no tutorial.  I believe that just about anyone can stuff a sweater into the shape shown and make the necessary stitching to complete the project.  A great way to repurpose an old sweater.

I do not know the source of the dog bowl chairs but it is a great idea for use with older dogs.  Cut a hole to fit the bowl and it is set to go.
