What to do with Mismatched Socks

Having a box of mismatched or old socks is not the most exciting thing in the world.  Wondering what to do with them once your kids are too old for sock puppets is time consuming and not fun.  However, you may now relax because I have a bunch of uses for those old things.  Take a look.

Store candles in clean old socks. It helps to keep them from getting broken or scratched, and they don't roll around.

Put old socks over the end of a ladder (one pair over each side ) to avoid marks , scratches or damage to walls / paintwork or wallpaper. You don't need to change them as they last for ages.

Use a clean fuzzy sock over a water bottle or large covered cup with a straw to keep it from sweating on wooden furniture as you take it from room to room in the summer.

Put some baby socks on the legs of chairs to keep them from scuffing hardwood floors.

Use the leg portion of old clean socks to protect the sleeves of baby clothing. Bibs are great for the front of the shirt but with 'learners' even the sleeves get dirty.

Can you add to the list?  Have a great day!

Meanwhile .... keep it simple and make it real.
