Does Size Really Have to Matter?

Does a size number in clothes make sense to anyone?  What body measurements make up a standard size 12?  Are the body measurements standard throughout the clothing industry?  No!

Sizes are mere reference points for me.  Different brands of clothes make their clothes bigger or smaller than what is considered to be standard.  It is a pain in the neck.

I am short.  As a matter of fact, I am two inches shorter than I was ten years ago.  It is sad that I am shrinking vertically rather than horizontally.  When I look for a pair of pants, I start by looking for those that say "short" on the tag.  When I hold them up against me, they are three inches longer than my leg.  Why can't women's pants be sized by the inseam as they do in men's pants?  Why must short women have to constantly cut off inches and inches from pants' legs?  Don't we deserve the same as tall women?

I also have a problem about where the crotch in a pair of pants lands on me.  Having the crotch down by my knees is not pretty and certainly hinders walking.  My boobs are creeping down to my knees, I don't need them to meet the crotch of my pants.  An inseam sizing would be so much better.

I also have an issue with clothes for women my age.  I'll save that for a later post.

Bottom line- I want clothes sized by waist, hip, inseam and bust size.  I want equality in sizing.  I am tired of hemming pants!   Amen!
